A technician visits you at home or work, reads the fault codes and live data with professional diagnostic equipment, and explains in plain English what is wrong and what to do next. Any repair is quoted separately.
Every job starts with a diagnostic check. Suitability for Mobile Diagnostic Check is always confirmed against your specific vehicle before any work is agreed.
A mobile diagnostic check is where we come to you - at home or at work - and connect professional diagnostic equipment to your vehicle to find out what is wrong. We read the fault codes stored in the engine management and other control units, look at live data from the sensors while the engine runs, and check how the systems behave.
Afterwards we explain in plain English what we found: what each fault code means, what is most likely causing it, how urgent it is and what the sensible next step is. A fault code points to where a problem is being seen, which is not always the same as the part that has failed - so we look at the whole picture rather than just reading out a code.
It is a good first step for a warning light on the dashboard, a car that has gone into limp mode, a loss of power, rough running or anything that simply does not feel right. The check tells you what is wrong; any repair or other work is quoted separately and only carried out if you agree to it.
These are mobile services - we come to you, so there is no need to bring the car to the workshop. A call-out fee applies depending on where you are: Leicester, the rest of Leicestershire, or elsewhere in the Midlands. You will see it on your price before you book, and further away we will confirm it with you first.
Our diagnostics find and explain faults; any repair or other work is always quoted separately and only done with your agreement. For the MOT warning light clear: if the light comes back later, or comes back while we are trying to clear it, that is not covered by the service - it means a fault is still present and needs looking at. The charge still stands if a code cannot be cleared because the fault is permanently active, unless you choose our DTC Delete option instead.

Our workshop is at 170 Belgrave Gate in Leicester, and we work with drivers within 30 miles of the city, including Loughborough, Coalville, Hinckley, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Lutterworth, Wigston. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, just ask.
Yes. Both diagnostic services are carried out at your home or workplace. A call-out fee is added depending on your postcode, and it is shown in your price before you book.
No. Clearing a fault code turns the light off; it does not repair anything. If the fault is still present the light will come back, which tells you the car needs a repair. We tell you what the codes were so you know what to look at.
That means a fault is still present, and it is not covered by the warning light clear. We can book a diagnostic check to find the cause, or advise you on the repair.
Yes. The charge covers our visit and the diagnostic work, so it applies even if a permanently active code cannot be cleared. If you want a specific code removed from the calibration, ask about our DTC Delete option.
We cannot promise an MOT result - that depends on the whole vehicle and the tester. An engine warning light that is on during the test is a fail, and a genuine fault can bring the light back at any time.
