How Stage 1 Eco compares with Stage 1

Full Stage 1 on this Volvo Trucks FMX is expected to give 395bhp and 2379Nm (+65bhp, +779Nm). The Stage 1 Eco keeps about 75% of that power gain and 92% of the torque gain, so you get 379bhp and 2317Nm: 16bhp less and 62Nm less than Stage 1, with the map shaped for efficient, relaxed driving, so it suits you if you want the pull and care about running costs. Both sit above the standard 330bhp and 1600Nm.

What this means for your FMX

On a diesel the biggest change is normally torque: the remap changes how much fuel and boost the ECU allows across the rev range, so pulling power arrives earlier and holds on longer.
